he presence, nobility and sensitivity of the Lusitano horse
has always fascinated me. These wonderful horses have helped
me to improve myself as a person. My sensitivity had always
been a drawback for me until these horses showed me how to
use this in my quest for emotions, getting closer to the horses
every day.
I started my training in equestrian art at Luis Valença,
renowned throughout the world for his equestrian shows. I
then went on to Manuel Jorge De Oliveira where I spent four
amazing years, under the Portuguese sun. This period truly
opened my eyes about riding in the French tradition. Since
the earliest days in my training I have ridden several horses
every day, always with the same level of interest. After a
year of intensive training I started rehab training and schooling
several horses under the watchful eye of Manuel Jorge. I still
go back there regularly and try to keep in constant contact
with him to inform him of the changes in my horses. I believe
riding is an art that requires tact, research, calm and concentration.
I am looking for poetry on horseback, a sublimation of technique.
Equestrian art is my passion and I would like every rider
to get the same pleasure as I do when I ride.
